HOW TO INSTALL AFDB WINDOW FILM?

BEFORE YOU START, GIVE YOURSELF 3 TIPS:

A small kitchen knife with a peel-off blade is the best tool for trimming the film. The foil can quickly dull the blade of the knife; and a dull knife can tear the foil.
Fill a spray bottle with a soapy water solution: add 1/4 teaspoon of liquid soap to 1q of bottled water. Do not use concentrated or degreasing detergents. If you cannot find suitable liquid soap, plain water is also suitable for the solution.
Remove any residual putty, paint or adhesive that may be stuck to the window.

FOLLOW THE 8 INSTALLATION STEPS:

Measure and record the dimensions of the target glass.
Clean the glass thoroughly.
When cutting the film, add 1+ cm on each side so that you have excess film to cut off.
Peel off the backing film.
Generously spray soapy water on the glass and window film.
Place the film on the wet glass and adjust the position of the window film.
Using a plastic squeegee or card, begin to wipe water and air from under the film.
Cut off excess material with a VERY sharp razor blade or craft knife, leaving a 1/16" wide gap at the edges of the film.
